50/50 Rules of Play

These Rules govern the 2026 Carp Fair – JACKPOT charitable 50/50 draw conducted by Carp Agricultural Society under licence issued by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

1. The draw

  1. 1.1 The 2026 Carp Fair – JACKPOT is a 50/50 raffle conducted by Carp Agricultural Society, a registered charity, CRA #118839505RR0001, under Lottery Licence #RAF1560186 issued by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
  2. 1.2 The raffle is conducted in the format 50/50, In-Venue + Online, using an electronic raffle system supplied by Rafflebox, an AGCO-registered Electronic Raffle Supplier.
  3. 1.3 Proceeds support Carp Agricultural Society and future Carp Fair events.

2. Who may take part

  1. 2.1 Purchasers must be 18 years of age or older.
  2. 2.2 Purchasers must be physically located in Ontario at the time of purchase. A purchaser does not have to be a resident of Ontario, but the purchase itself must take place while the purchaser is in Ontario. Ticket orders are not accepted from outside Ontario.
  3. 2.3 Online purchases must be made with a Visa, Mastercard or Visa Debit card, and the billing address registered to that card must be in Ontario.
  4. 2.4 The person or persons conducting the draw may not purchase or hold a ticket for that draw.
  5. 2.5 Volunteers, and members of a volunteer's family, who take no part in conducting the draw may purchase tickets and are eligible to win.
  6. 2.6 Members of the Board of Directors, associated persons and the General Manager of Carp Agricultural Society may not purchase tickets in this raffle.

3. Tickets and pricing

  1. 3.1 Tickets are sold in the following packages:
    • 1 ticket for $5.00
    • 3 tickets for $10.00
    • 10 tickets for $20.00
    • 50 tickets for $50.00
  2. 3.2 There is no limit on the number of tickets a person may purchase until ticket sales close.
  3. 3.3 Ticket sales open on 2 July 2026 and close on 27 September 2026.
  4. 3.4 Tickets purchased online are issued electronically. Ticket numbers are sent by email to the address supplied at the time of purchase.
  5. 3.5 Tickets are also sold in person during Drive-In Bingo, throughout Carp Fair, and at the office Monday to Friday during working hours.
  6. 3.6 Online tickets are paid for by Visa, Mastercard or Visa Debit. The card must carry a billing address in Ontario. Carp Agricultural Society does not receive, transmit or store payment card details: payment is taken by the payment provider of the raffle platform.

4. The prize

  1. 4.1 The winner receives 50% of total ticket sales for the draw.
  2. 4.2 The remaining 50% is retained by Carp Agricultural Society in support of the Society and future Carp Fair events.
  3. 4.3 Any pot figure published before the close of sales is an estimate. The final prize amount is determined by total ticket sales.
  4. 4.4 The prize is paid by cheque in Canadian dollars.

5. Selecting the winner

  1. 5.1 The draw takes place at 27 September 2026, 5:00 p.m. ET at Carp Agricultural Society, 3790 Carp Road, Carp, ON.
  2. 5.2 The winning number is selected using the random number generator of Rafflebox, the registered Electronic Raffle Supplier for this raffle.
  3. 5.3 Ticket holders do not need to be present at the draw or at Carp Fair to win.

6. Claiming a prize

  1. 6.1 The winner of an online purchase is contacted using the contact details supplied at the time of purchase.
  2. 6.2 Arrangements for collection or delivery of the prize cheque are made directly with the winner.
  3. 6.3 A prize must be claimed within six months of the date of the draw.
  4. 6.4 A prize that remains unclaimed after six months is dealt with in accordance with the conditions of the licence and with the consent of the AGCO.

7. Refunds

  1. 7.1 There are no refunds. All ticket sales are final.

8. Responsible gambling

  1. 8.1 This raffle is intended as entertainment and as support for a registered charity. It is not a way to earn money.

9. Official purchase location

  1. 9.1 The official online purchase location for this raffle is https://www.rafflebox.ca/raffle/cas.
  2. 9.2 Tickets purchased anywhere other than the official purchase location or an authorised in-person sales point are not valid entries in this raffle.
